Any Idea why I would have a weird, nasty taste when I cough?

check you tongue to see if it has a coating on it. It might be white or yellow. You may have Thrush in your mouth. If you do, nothing tastes good, nothing! When I have Thrush, I take Instatin, a prescription from the Dr. You take a bit, swish it through your mouth and swallow it. It helps me so much, it takes away the horrible taste, and it takes away the Thrush.
