What kind of degree do you need to create light shows and background graphics for a concert?

I went to the Rascal Flatts concert. They had a huge screen that showed videos/scenery on it and had square lights that showed fire, waterfalls, etc. all around the stage. I was just wondering how someone would get the job of creating things like this for a concert.
