What car services should i get for a cross country trip?

I own a 98 ford explorer. has always been dependable . I want to take my car in for service so my cross country trip goes as smoothly as possible with no car troubles. of course there's no guarantees this will occur, but what preventative services should i ask for. Asking a mechanic and their suggestion is always best, but i want to go in with some understanding and hopefully not get "taken." Thanks for your help.
